HBO's Untitled Los Angeles Lakers Drama; HBO Max's Gossip Girl; Hulu's Dopesick; NBC's Chicago Med; Showtime's The L Word: Generation Q; and Starz's Outlander.




HBO's UNTITLED LOS ANGELES LAKERS DRAMA
  • Michael Chiklis has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring John C. Reilly, Jason Clarke and Adrien Brody. He previously starred for seven seasons in FX's The Shield, winning an Emmy Award in 2002 for his lead performance. He recently starred in CBS All Access' Coyote, which debuted its first season in January 2021.
  • He will play Red Auerbach, the legendary coach of the Boston Celtics. As coach, he won nine NBA championships. As general manager, he won seven more. When the Lakers' rise threatens his Boston dynasty, he proves himself to be the basketball genius and cutthroat competitor of every Laker fan's nightmares.
HBO MAX's GOSSIP GIRL
  • Elizabeth Lail has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming drama reboot starring Emily Alyn Lind and Tavi Gevinson. Lail starred in the first season of Netflix's You. She previously recurred on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
  • No details were immediately released about the character she will be playing.
NBC's CHICAGO MED
  • Margaret Colin, Charlie Farrell and Benny Mora have landed recurring roles on the drama's sixth season. Colin has previously recurred on The CW's Gossip Girl, NBC's Shades of Blue and HBO's Veep. Farrell has guest starred on Syfy's Z Nation and FX's American Horror Story. Mora has guest starred on NBC's Aquarius.
  • Colin will play Carol, Dr. Manning's (Torrey DeVitto) mother.
  • Farrell will play Mark Barragan, the executive in charge of Dr. Halstead's (Nick Gehlfuss) drug trial.
  • Mora will play Mike, a blue-collar truck driver whose ex-wife brings their baby to the ER.
HULU's DOPESICK
  • Rebecca Wisocky and Meagen Fay have booked recurring roles on the upcoming limited series starring Michael Keaton, Peter Sarsgaard and Kaitlyn Dever. Wisocky starred for four seasons in Lifetime's Devious Maids. She has also recurred on AppleTV+'s For All Mankind and CBS All Access' Star Trek: Picard. Fay has recurred on ABC's Agent Carter, Amazon's Transparent, Netflix's Grace and Frankie and NBC's Superstore.
  • Wisocky will play an FDA official who is involved with regulating OxyContin.
  • Fay will play Sister Beth Davies, a nun who provides therapy for opioid abuse disorder that has ravaged her community in Appalachia.
STARZ's OUTLANDER
  • Mark Lewis Jones, Alexander Vlahos and Jessica Reynolds are set for recurring roles on the drama's upcoming sixth season. Jones starred in the first season of Sky Atlantic/AMC's Gangs of London. Vlahos starred for three seasons in the French drama Versailles. Reynolds starred in the BBC Three limited series My Left Nut.
  • Jones will play Tom Christie, a fellow Ardsmuir prisoner and devout Protestant, who arrives on Fraser's Ridge seeking a place to settle. As de facto leader of the Protestant settlers who arrive with him, his strong opinion and convictions begin to create tension on the Ridge.
  • Vlahos will play Allan Christie, who travels to the Ridge with his father Tom and his sister Malva. Headstrong and wary of strangers, he is highly protective of his family as they settle into this new environment.
  • Reynolds will play Malva Christie, Tom's young and spirited daughter. She is captivated by Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) work and modern thinking, which gets Malva in trouble with her conservative father. She struggles to toe the line between what she wants to do and what is expected of her.
SHOWTIME's THE L WORD: GENERATION Q
  • Vanessa Williams will appear in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. She previously starred for one season in FOX's Melrose Place and five seasons in Showtime's Soul Food. She has also recurred on Freeform's Famous in Love and The CW's The Flash. She next stars in the upcoming film Candyman directed by Nia DaCosta.
  • She will play Pippa Pascal, an incendiary artist who has been out of the public eye for almost 20 years - until Bette (Jennifer Beals) becomes determined to track her down.
