After airing four episodes, CBS has renewed its original drama series The Equalizer for a second season. The drama is the first freshman series on the broadcast network to be picked up for another season.
The drama stars Queen Latifah, Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira, Laya DeLeon Hayes, Lorraine Toussaint and Chris Noth.
Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller created the drama. They executive produce with Queen Latifah, John Davis, John Fox, Debra Martin Chase, Richard Lindheim and Shakim Compere. CBS Studios and Universal Television produce.
"The Equalizer has proven more than equal to the task of engaging viewers and racking up wins on Sunday night," said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment. "We're extremely proud to see this outstanding broadcast drama, led by Queen Latifah, punch through the competitive landscape and return for a second season."
