The new season chronicles the relationship of Denise (Lena Waithe) and her partner Alicia (Naomi Ackie). The modern love story intimately illustrates the ups and downs of marriage, struggles with fertility, and personal growth both together and apart. Fleeting romantic highs meet crushing personal losses while existential questions of love and living are raised.
Aziz Ansari and Lena Waithe co-wrote each episode, with Ansari also directing all of them. They executive produce with Alan Yang, Michael Schur, Naomi Ackie, Dave Becky, David Miner, Igor Srubshchik and Aniz Ansari. Cord Jefferson and Eric Wareheim serve as co-executive producers. Universal Television produces.
