ABC's PROMISED LAND
- Rolando Chusan has been cast as a series regular on the drama pilot starring John Ortiz. The newcomer was part of ABC Discover's 2020 showcase last summer.
- He will play Billy, a worker on the Heritage House vineyard in the Sonoma Valley. He dreams of one day owning the vineyard and has an immediate spark with Juana (Katya Martín), launching an intense rivalry with Billy's brother, Carlos (Andres Velez), who is also in love with her.
FREEFORM's EVERYTHING'S TRASH
- Jackée Harry and George Wallace have joined the cast of the comedy pilot written by and starring Phoebe Robinson. Harry previously starred for four seasons in NBC's 227 and six seasons in ABC/The WB's Sister, Sister. Wallace is a stand-up comedian who has appeared in the films The Last Laugh and Hubie Halloween.
- Harry will play Zora, Phoebe (Robinson) and Jayden's (Jordan Carlos) mother. She and her husband are mid-Western transplants, but they have made a home in New York. They love and support their children equally, but truth be known, Zora acts (and dresses) younger than she is and straddles the line between "I'm my daughter's mother" and "I'm my daughter's best friend."
- Wallace will play Abraham, Phoebe and Jayden's father and Zora's husband. He and his wife have been together since middle school and like Zora, he has treated Phoebe more like a friend than a daughter, which was fine before because she always brought laughter and joy to the family. However, now that Jayden is an elected official, Abraham worries that his daughter's ne'er-do-well ways is not a great look for the family.
