HBO Max has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming reboot of the original drama series Gossip Girl.
The first season will debut on Thursday, July 8.
Based on the original series that aired on The CW from 2007-12, the new drama takes the viewer back to the Upper East Side to find a new generation of New York private school teens who are being introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger's website went dark.
The drama stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith.
Joshua Safran developed the drama. He executive produces with Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo and director Karena Evans. Lis Rowinski serves as a co-executive producer. Warner Bros. Television, CBS Studios, Fake Empire Productions and Alloy Entertainment produce.
