National Geographic has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second installment of the anthology drama series The Hot Zone.
The 6-episode second season, titled The Hot Zone: Anthrax, will premiere on Sunday, November 28 at 9/8c. and air as a three-night event.
With the world still reeling after the 9/11 attacks, America faces a second wave - the anthrax letters. Targeting journalists and politicians, mail with anthrax powder kills five people and causes panic across the United States. FBI Special Agent Matthew Ryker tracks down the killer, finding himself ensnared in an unstable web of psychological warfare.
The new installment stars Daniel Dae Kim, Tony Goldwyn, Harry Hamlin, Dylan Baker, Ian Colletti, Dawn Olivieri, Denyce Lawton, Morgan Kelly and Enrico Colantoni.
Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson return as showrunners. They executive produce with Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan and Lynda Obst. 20th Television and Scott Free Productions produce.
