From June 17-28, 2021, voting is taking place for The 73rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. As such, it's fun to look at which actors and shows have the best chances of actually being nominated this year. So, these are my predictions for who will be nominated for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

For Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, 64 actresses were submitted for consideration. That will result in five nominees in this category when the nominations are announced on Tuesday, July 13.

  2. Kristen Wiig for NBC's Saturday Night Live
  3. Anya Taylor-Joy for NBC's Saturday Night Live
  4. Issa Rae for HBO's A Black Lady Sketch Show
  5. Tina Fey for Peacock's Girls5Eva
Serious threats that could break through:
  1. Andrea Anders for AppleTV+'s Ted Lasso
  2. Elisabeth Shue and Tamlyn Tomita for Netflix's Cobra Kai
  3. Candice Bergen and Alexandra Billings for ABC's The Conners
  4. Yvette Nicole Brown, Gabrielle Union, Kim Coles and Amber Riley for HBO's A Black Lady Sketch Show
  5. Jane Seymour and Christine Ebersole for Netflix's The Kominsky Method
  6. America Ferrera for NBC's Superstore
Some considerable long-shots:
  1. Susan Sarandon, Shalita Grant and Michaela Watkins for HBO Max's Search Party
  2. Shelley Henning for AppleTV+'s Mythic Quest
  3. Jane Adams for HBO Max's Hacks
  4. Andie MacDowell, Natalie Morales and Rachel Dratch for NBC's Mr. Mayor
  5. Bernadette Peters for NBC's Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist
  6. Vanessa Williams and Talia Balsam for Peacock's Girls5Eva
  7. Jessica Hecht and Kelli Barnett for AppleTV+'s Dickinson
Colorful oddities who still have an outside chance:
  1. Laura Benanti for CBS' Late Show with Stephen Colbert
  2. Ann Magnuson for HBO Max's The Flight Attendant
  3. Vanessa Williams and Vanessa Bell Calloway for NBC's Kenan
  4. Lauren Weedman for Netflix's Special
  5. Sophia Bush, Leslie Grossman and Ali Wong for Hulu's Love, Victor
  6. Lark Voorhies for Peacock's Saved by the Bell
