Showtime has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original comedy series Work in Progress.
The 10-episode second season will debut on Sunday, August 22 at 11/10c. with two episodes airing back-to-back.
The new season picks back up with Abby in the wake of her breakup (and almost out of almonds). A 46-year-old self-identified fat, queer dyke, Abby begrudgingly accepts that she's too busy to kill herself. In fact, she's just starting to get her head above water... when a global pandemic converges with a family emergency and forces her into uncharted territory.
The comedy features Abby McEnany, Celeste Pechous, Armand Fields, Karin Anglin, Bruce Jarchow, Theo Germaine and Julia Sweeney.
McEnany co-created the comedy with Tim Mason and Lilly Wachowski. They executive produce with Sweeney, Lawrence Mattis, Josh Adler and Tony Hernandez. Jax Media and Circle of Confusion produce.
