Syfy and USA have today jointly announced a premiere date for the upcoming original drama series Chucky - a television spinoff of the successful Child's Play film franchise.
The 8-episode first season will debut on Tuesday, October 12 at 10/9c. on both cable networks.
An idyllic American town is thrown into chaos after a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town's deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets. Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky's past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
The drama stars Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Björgvin Amarson, Lexa Doig, Devon Sawa, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise McCarthy, Barbara Alyn Woods and Jennifer Tilly, with Brad Dourif returning as the voice of Chucky.
