HULU's THE GIRL FROM PLAINVILLE
- Chloë Sevigny will co-star on the upcoming limited series starring Elle Fanning and Colton Ryan. She was nominated for an Academy Award for her supporting performance in the 1999 film Boys Don't Cry. She has also starred for five seasons in HBO's Big Love, one season in FX's American Horror Story, one season in Netflix's Bloodline, in the Hulu limited series The Act and in the HBO limited series We Are Who We Are.
- She will play Lynn Roy, Coco's (Ryan) mother. She's intelligent and caring, with a dry sense of humor. As she grapples with guilt over her son's death, she faces adversity with stoic determination and discovers that his life was more complicated than she had thought.
SHOWTIME's THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH
- Kate Mulgrew has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Naomie Harris. She previously starred for seven seasons in UPN's Star Trek: Voyager, seven seasons in Netflix's Orange Is the New Black and one season in Audience Network's Mr. Mercedes. She will next be seen in Showtime's upcoming anthology drama The First Lady and reprising her Voyager role in Paramount+'s upcoming animated series Star Trek: Prodigy.
- She will play Drew Finch, an operative who stands at the very top of the dangerous slopes of the CIA and a collector of secrets. Emotionally fearless, a master of finding and exploiting the weak link, she has to battle to keep her own past in the dark while playing for the biggest stakes of her life.
NBC's THE THING ABOUT PAM
- Josh Duhamel has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming limited series starring Renée Zellweger. He has starred in four films in the Transformers franchise. He has also starred for five seasons in NBC's Las Vegas, in the USA limited series Unsolved and in Netflix's one-season drama Jupiter's Legacy.
- He will play Joel Schwartz, the defense attorney for Russ Faria, who was arrested and convicted of the murder of his wife, Betsy Faria, before his conviction was overturned.
HBO MAX's OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH
- Fred Armisen and Samba Schutte have landed recurring roles on the upcoming comedy starring Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi. Armisen co-created and starred in IFC's Portlandia, IFC's Documentary Now!, HBO's Los Espookys and Showtime's Moonbase 8. Schutte starred in NBC's one-season comedy Sunnyside.
- No details were immediately announced about the characters they will be playing.
HBO's UNTITLED LOS ANGELES LAKERS DRAMA
- Sean Patrick Small, Rachel Hilson, Olli Haaskivi, Newton Mayenge and Jon Young have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring John C. Reilly, Jason Clarke, Adrien Brody and Sally Field. Small will make his acting debut with the series. Hilson currently stars in Hulu's Love, Victor, which has been renewed for a third season. Haaskivi has recurred on USA's The Sinner, HBO's The Deuce and NBC's Manifest. Mayenge has appeared in the shorts A Life in Three Letters, Order of Khan and Dark Tales. Young guest starred on Netflix's Hollywood.
- Small will play Larry Bird, who is widely regarded as one of the best basketball players of all time. Having played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics, he helped lead the team to three NBA Championships. His time with the team also included a legendary rivalry with the Los Angeles. Small replaces Bo Burnham, who was originally cast in the role.
- Hilson will play Cindy Day, Magic Johnson's (Quincy Isaiah) girlfriend.
- Haaskivi will play Phil Knight, Nike's enigmatic and forward-thinking founder.
- Mayenge will play Jim Chones, a veteran NBA forward.
- Young will play Brad Holland, the only Laker wholesome enough to be nicknamed Potsie.
ABC's WOMEN OF THE MOVEMENT
- Timothy Hutton is set for a recurring role on the upcoming limited series starring Adrienne Warren. He won an Academy Award for his performance in the 1980 film Ordinary People. He also starred for five seasons in TNT's Leverage, three seasons in ABC's American Crime, in the Netflix limited series The Haunting of Hill House and one season in ABC's How to Get Away With Murder.
- He will play Jesse J. Breland, the lead defense council in the trial of J.W. Milam (Chris Coy) and Roy Bryant (Carter Jenkins) for the murder of Emmett Till (Cedric Joe).
