FOX's Monarch; FX's Mayans M.C.; Hulu's The Girl From Plainville; and Netflix's The Crown.
FOX's MONARCH
- Martha Higareda and Emma Milani will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Susan Sarandon, Anna Friel and Trace Adkins. Higareda starred in the first season of Netflix's Altered Carbon and recurred on USA's Queen of the South. Milani is a 2020 graduate of the Acting Conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts.
- Higareda will play Catt Phoenix, the stunning and unpredictable mother of 17-year-old Ana Phoenix, a talented young singer who is trying to get signed to Monarch Entertainment. Catt harbors a deep-seated grudge against the Romans, Nicky (Friel) in particular, and her presence creates quite a stir in Austin.
- Milani will play Ana Phoenix, the sweet, wide-eyed daughter of Catt with a beautiful voice, who is a recent TikTok sensation with her modern, Spanish language interpretation of Albie Roman's (Adkins) first hit song.
HULU's THE GIRL FROM PLAINVILLE
- Chinasa Ogbuagu, Kelly AuCoin, Scott William Winters, Kristin Griffith, Ella Rubin, Megan Lawless, John Henry Ward, Leah Thompkins and Callie McClincy have landed recurring roles on the upcoming limited series starring Elle Fanning, Colton Ryan, Chloë Sevigny and Norbert Leo Butz.
- Ogbuagu (Mare of Easttown, The Following) will play Teresa Adams, a fearless prosecutor in the District Attorney's office. She has zero tolerance for bullsh*t.
- AuCoin (Billions, The Americans) will play Scott Gordon, the Fairhaven detective who is dogged in his investigation of Michelle Carter (Fanning).
- Winters (Borgia, City on a Hill) will play Eric Dawicki, who is close friends with the Roy family, acting as a mentor to Coco (Ryan). Warm, friendly and in touch with his emotions, he has a more modern sensibility when it comes to mental health.
- Griffith (Succession, The Deuce) will play Janice Roy, Co's (Butz) mother and Coco's grandmother. She can come across as a softie but when you get down to it she can be just as hard as her husband and son. She is close with Coco and bonds with him about their faith.
- Rubin (The Chair, Gossip Girl) will play Natalie Gibson, a friend of Michelle's from school. She can see that Michelle is an outsider and takes pity on her. She tries to involve Michelle but ultimately gets wrapped in the web of Michelle's complex life.
- Lawless (The Hate U Give, Play by Play) will play Riley Anderson, Coco's best girl-friend. She has known him since they were little kids. She tries to stay involved in Coco's life and let him know he has someone.
- Ward (Colt 45, Brighter Colors) will play Adrian Peters, Michelle's friend from school. He bonds with Michelle after she is indicted. He is gay and knows what it's like to be an outsider in a closed-minded school. He takes Michelle to prom.
- Thompkins (Unaware, Dead of Night) will play Paige Roy, Coco's youngest sister. She is shielded as much as possible from the events of the series.
- McClincy (Outcast, The Originals) will play Hayden Carter, Michelle's youngest sister. She has spent her life in Michelle's complicated shadow. She battles with both resenting Michelle and loving/understanding her.
NETFLIX's THE CROWN
- Khalid Abdalla and Salim Daw have joined the cast of the drama's upcoming fifth season. Abdalla previously recurred on Amazon's Hanna. Daw starred in the first season of FX's Tyrant.
- Abdalla will play Dodi Fayed, a film producer who became romantically involved with Diana, Princess of Wales (Elizabeth Debicki), in the summer of 1997.
- Daw will play Mohamed Al-Fayed, Dodi's father, a billionaire and the former owner of Harrods department store.
FX's MAYANS M.C.
- Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero and Vincent Vargas have been promoted to series regulars for the drama's upcoming fourth season. All three have recurred throughout the drama's first three seasons.
- Loyal plays Hank "El Tranq" Loza. Lucera plays Neron "Creeper" Vargas. Vargas plays Gilberto "Gilly" Lopez. All three characters are members of the Mayans M.C., Santo Padre Charter.
