FOX's KRAPOPOLIS
- Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Hannah Waddingham, Pam Murphy and Duncan Trussell will lead the voice cast of the upcoming animated comedy created by Dan Harmon. Ayoade previously starred for four seasons in Channel 4's The IT Crowd. Berry currently stars in FX's What We Do In the Shadows, which has been renewed for a fourth season. Waddingham currently stars in AppleTV+'s Ted Lasso, which has been renewed for a third season. Murphy has recurred on Epix's Get Shorty and Quibi's Mapleworth Murders. Trussell created and stars in Netflix's animated comedy The Midnight Gospel.
- Ayoade will play Tyrannis, the mortal son of a goddess and benevolent King of Krapopolis, who is trying to make do in a city that lives up to its name.
- Berry will play Shlub, Tyrannis' father, a mantitaur (half centaur [horse + human], half manticore [lion + human + scorpion]). He is oversexed and underemployed, claims to be an artist, and has literally never paid for anything, in any sense of that word, for his entire life.
- Waddingham will play Deliria, Tyrannis' mother, a goddess of self-destruction and questionable choices. Within her extended Olympian family - forged in patricide and infidelity - she's known as the trashy one.
- Murphy will play Stupendous, Tyrannis' half-sister, the daughter of Deliria and a cyclops.
- Trussell will play Hippocampus, Tyrannis' half-brother, the son of Shlub and a mermaid, and, obviously, a hot mess, biologically speaking.
FOX's MONARCH
- Trace Adkins has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Susan Sarandon and Anna Friel. The country singer has released 12 studio albums - which have resulted in four Grammy Award nominations.
- He will play Albie Roman, the Texas Truthteller, reigning King of Country Music and husband of Dottie Cantrell Roman (Sarandon), with whom he has helped create a country music dynasty.
ABC's QUEENS
- Precious Way has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Brandy, Eve, Naturi Naughton and Nadine Velazquez. She currently stars in the UMC sitcom Partners in Rhyme.
- She will play JoJo, Naomi's (Brandy) 20-year-old, estranged daughter, who has been living with her grandmother while Naomi has been chasing after her elusive lost fame. Bitterly resentful of her absentee mother, JoJo has written Naomi off for good, and tells her so in no uncertain terms. But when Naomi invites her to attend her comeback at one of the award shows, JoJo is dazzled by this side of her mother, a new perception of Naomi that may spark their reconciliation.
THE CW's CHARMED
- Lucy Barrett is set as the new co-lead opposite Melonie Diaz and Sarah Jeffery for the drama's upcoming fourth season. The Australian actress previously starred in the web series Co-Ed and recurred on Stan's Bloom.
- New showrunners Jeffery Lieber, Nicki Renna and Joey Falco have opted to only tease Barrett's new character stating: "Her name, backstory, powers, and connection to Mel (Diaz) and Maggie (Jeffery) are being kept under wraps, because... well... it's just more fun that way. What we will say is... she's an artist, with a wild, unpredictable love for life and a one-of-a-kind view of the world that serves her well in her art, which is her life's passion. She's fun, irreverent, impulsive, strong-willed, and will bring a brand-new energy to the Power of Three."
