Netflix's 'Narcos: Mexico' to End After 3 Seasons

Netflix has announced today that the upcoming third season of its original drama series Narcos: Mexico will be its last. The streamer didn't say whether the story of the drug trade will continue with a new spinoff. The original series Narcos was set in Columbia for three seasons before transitioning to Mexico for the spinoff.

All 10 episodes of the third and final season will be available on Friday, November 5.

Set in the 90s, when the globalization of the drug business ignites, the new season examines the war that breaks out after Felix's arrest. As newly independent cartels struggle to survive political upheaval and escalating violence, a new generation of Mexican kingpins emerge. But in this war, truth is the first casualty - and every arrest, murder and take-done only pushes real victory further away...

The drama stars Scoot McNairy, José María Yázpik, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Alberto Guerra, Luisa Rubino, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Hermosillo, Matt Letscher, Manuel Masalva, Alejandro Edda and Gorka Lasaosa, with Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio aka "Bad Bunny" guest starring.

Carlo Bernard serves as showrunner on the final season. He executive produces with Doug Miro, Andrés Baiz, Eric Newman, José Padilha, Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee and Nicolas Atlan. Gaumont produces.
