Peacock has today given a series order to the original drama series The Missing created by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers). The first season will produce 8 episodes.
Based on the novel The Missing File by Dror A. Mishani, the drama centers on NYPD Detective Avraham Avraham, whose belief in mankind is his superpower when it comes to uncovering the truth. Guided by a deep sense of spirituality and religious principles, he is left to question his own humanity when a seemingly routine investigation turns upside down.
Kelley will executive produce with Mishani, Matthew Tinker, Peter Traugott, Alon Shrutzman, Avi Nir and Karni Ziv. Universal Television and Keshet Studios will produce.
