When Atlanta real estate mogul Charlie Croker faces sudden bankruptcy, political and business interests collide as he defends his empire from those attempting to capitalize on his fall from grace.
David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers) is writing the adaptation, with Regina King (If Beale Street Could Talk, Watchmen) set to direct. They will both executive produce with Matthew Tinker. Royal Ties Productions will produce in association with Netflix.
The limited series marks Kelley's third project currently set up at Netflix - joining drama The Lincoln Lawyer and anthology drama Anatomy of a Scandal. King currently stars in the Netflix film The Harder They Fall and previously won an Emmy Award for her lead performance in the Netflix limited series Seven Seconds.
