APPLE TV+'s BAD MONKEY
- Michelle Monaghan, Jodie Turner-Smith and Meredith Hagner will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Vince Vaughn. Monaghan previously starred in the first season of HBO's True Detective and in three seasons of Hulu's The Path. Turner-Smith starred for two seasons in TNT's The Last Ship and in the Channel 5 limited series Anne Boleyn. Hagner currently stars in HBO Max's Search Party, which returns for its fifth and final season in January.
- Monaghan will play Bonnie, a mysterious woman trapped in an abusive, loveless marriage. She complicates Yancy's (Vaughn) life both personally and professionally as a secret from her past resurfaces.
- Turner-Smith will play Gracie aka Dragon Queen, who is both revered and feared on Andros as she practices Obeah alongside her contentious grandmother.
- Hagner will play Eve, who is questioned by Yancy about her dead husband and he feels she might know more than she's saying.
HBO's THE IDOL
- Juliebeth Gonzalez, Maya Eshet, Tyson Ritter, Kate Lyn Sheil, Liz Sierra and Finley Rose Slater have joined the cast of the upcoming drama created by and starring Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye. Gonzalez and Sierra are relative newcomers. Eshet previously recurred on MTV's Teen Wolf. Ritter starred in the fourth season of AMC's Preacher. Sheil has recurred on Netflix's House of Cards and Showtime's City on a Hill. Slater has recurred on NBC's Days of Our Lives.
- No details were immediately announced about the characters they will be playing. However, Gonzalez will be a series regular while the other five actors will recur.
HULU's LIFE & BETH
- Laura Benanti has been cast in the upcoming comedy created by and starring Amy Schumer. She has received five Tony Award nominations - winning in 2008 for her performance in the musical Gypsy. She currently stars in HBO Max's Gossip Girl, which has already been renewed for a second season.
- She will play Jane, a struggling mother.
