AppleTV+'s The Big Door Prize; BET+'s Kingdom Business; The CW's Naomi; HBO's The Last of Us; and Spectrum's George & Tammy.
BET+'s KINGDOM BUSINESS
- Yolanda Adams, Serayah, Michael Jai White, Michael Beach and Chaundre A. Hall-Broomfield will star in the upcoming drama created by John Sakmar and Kerry Lenhart. Adams is a four-time Grammy Award winner. Serayah previously starred for five seasons in FOX's Empire. White has recurred on The CW's Arrow and BET+'s The Family Business. Beach currently stars in AppleTV+'s Truth Be Told, which was renewed for a third season today. Hall-Broomfield has guest starred on Netflix's Luke Cage and CBS' FBI.
- Adams will play Denita Jordan, the reigning Queen of Gospel Music.
- Serayah will play Rbel, a talented up-and-coming gospel star with a trouble past who threatens Denita's crown.
- White will play Julius "Caesar" Jones, a powerful producer and Denita's former collaborate turned rival.
- Beach will play Calvin Jordan, Denita's husband and Bishop of First Kingdom Church.
- Hall-Broomfield will play Taj Jordan, the son of Calvin and Denita and the apple of his mother's eye.
- Recurring guest stars in the first season will include Tamar Braxton as Sasha, La'Miya Good as Essence, Aspen Kennedy as Zyan, Kiandra Richardson as C.J. Jordan-Walker, Kajuana Shuford Marie as Dani and Sam Malone as Dex.
HBO's THE LAST OF US
- Nick Offerman has landed a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. He previously starred for seven seasons in NBC's Parks & Recreation and in the Netflix limited series Colin in Black & White. He currently stars in FOX's The Great North, which has been renewed for a third season. He will next star in Hulu's upcoming limited series Pam & Tommy and Amazon's upcoming comedy A League of Their Own.
- He will play Bill, a hardened survivalist who aids Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Ramsey) on their way to meet the Fireflies. Offerman replaces Con O'Neill, who was originally cast in the role but has since left the drama due to a scheduling conflict.
THE CW's NAOMI
- Stephanie March has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Kaci Walfall. She previously starred for five seasons in NBC's Law & Order: SVU.
- She will play Akira. Originally from a planet far away, she finds herself in hiding on Earth when Naomi (Walfall) seeks her out, looking for answers.
APPLE TV+'s THE BIG DOOR PRIZE
- Chris O'Dowd will play the lead role in the upcoming comedy created by David West Read. He won an Emmy Award in 2019 for his lead performance in the short series State of the Union. He also previously starred for three seasons in Epix's Get Shorty.
- He will play Dusty, a good-natured teacher and family man whose deeply average life has followed a safe and predictable path, until the appearance of the mystifying machine forces him to question his own happiness.
SPECTRUM's GEORGE & TAMMY
- Michael Shannon will star opposite Jessica Chastain in the upcoming limited series created by Abe Sylvia. He received Academy Award nominations for his supporting performances in the films Revolutionary Road and Nocturnal Animals. He also starred for five seasons in HBO's Boardwalk Empire, in the Paramount Network limited series Waco, in the AMC limited series The Little Drummer Girl and in the Hulu limited series Nine Perfect Strangers.
- He will play George Jones, Tammy Wynette's (Chastain) husband - the C&W music couple whose relationship inspired the songs "We're Gonna Hold On," "Stand by Your Man" and "Golden Ring."=
