In a commercial that aired during tonight's NFC wildcard game, Disney+ announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Moon Knight - the first Marvel Studios series set to air in 2022.
The new drama will launch on Wednesday, March 30 with new episodes being released weekly.
The series will follow Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. He discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc's enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
The drama stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy.
Jeremy Slater (The Exorcist, The Umbrella Academy) serves as head writer for the drama. Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes. Slater, Diab and Isaac executive produce with Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Brad Winderbaum.
