HBO Max has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series Minx starring Ophelia Lovibond (Elementary) and Jake Johnson (New Girl).
The 10-episode first season will launch on Thursday, March 17 with two episodes being released weekly until the season finale on Thursday, April 14.
Set in 1970s Los Angeles, the series centers on Joyce (Lovibond), an earnest young feminist who joins forces with a low-rent publisher (Johnson) to create the first erotic magazine for women.
In addition to Lovibond and Johnson, the comedy stars Idara Victor, Jessica Lowe, Lennon Parham, Michael Angarano and Oscar Montoya.
Ellen Rapoport created the series. She executive produces with Paul Feig, Dan Magnante, Ben Karlin and director Rachel Lee Goldenberg. Johnson serves as a co-executive producer. Lionsgate Television and Feigco Entertainment produce.
