ABC's NOT DEAD YET
- Gina Rodriguez will play the lead role in the comedy pilot written by Casey Johnson and David Windsor. She previously starred for five seasons in The CW's Jane the Virgin. She recently recurred on and executive produced Disney+'s Diary of a Future President, which ran for two seasons.
- She will play Nell Stevens, a self-described disaster. Broke, newly single and feeling old, she works to restart the life and career she left behind 10 years ago. Moving back home to Pasadena - a world where everyone seems to have a better life than she does, Nell can only afford to share an apartment with a stranger who monitors how much electricity she uses and pesters her about her recycling habits. A once successful journalist, Nell put her career on hold to help her fiancé get his restaurant off the ground. Following their break up, she takes the only job she can get - writing obituaries - which at first seems like a step backwards but ultimately may be exactly what she needs to move forward.
THE CW's THE WINCHESTERS
- Bianca Kajlich will co-star on the drama pilot starring Meg Donnelly and Drake Rodger. She previously starred for seven seasons in CBS' Rules of Engagement and three seasons in NBC's Undateable. She also has recurred on Amazon's Bosch and The CW's Legacies.
- She will play Millie Winchester, John's (Rodger) mother, who is hard-working, tough and has done the bulk of parenting in her family for the past 15 years. She has always worried John, a Vietnam veteran, would take after his father and wanted to prevent him from pursuing a dangerous life. She is now coming to grips with the fact that this is exactly what John plans to do.
