AppleTV+ has today given a series order to the original drama series Constellation starring Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Jack Ryan) and Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul). An episode count and premiere date window were not immediately announced.
The drama will center on Jo (Rapace), a woman who returns to Earth after a disaster in space - only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing. The action-packed space adventure is an exploration of the dark edges of human psychology, one woman's desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and for her to recover all that she has lost.
Banks will play Henry, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist. The answers to his secret discovery are protected by Jo on the ISS... until she returns.
Peter Harness created the drama, with Michelle MacLaren set to direct the first two episodes. They will executive produce with David Tanner, Tracey Scoffield, Caroline Benjo, Simon Arnal, Carole Scotta, Justin Thomson and Rebecca Hobbs. Jahan Lopes will serve as a co-executive producer. Turbine Studios, Haut et Court Television, MacLaren Entertainment and Haunted Barn Ltd. will produce.
