The limited series will follow the epic and unprecedented telling of the unification and colonization of Hawaii from an indigenous point of view.
Momoa co-created the series with Thomas Pa'a Sibbett. Doug Jung will serve as showrunner. All three will executive produce with Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Erik Holmberg. Justin Chon is in negotiations to direct the first two episodes. Endeavor Content and Chernin Entertainment will produce.
The project marks the first time Momoa has written for television. He currently stars in the AppleTV+ drama See, which has been renewed for a third season.
