Netflix has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series Mo created by and starring Mohammed "Mo" Amer.
All 8 episodes of the first season will be available on Wednesday, August 24.
Mo Najjar (Amer) straddles the line between two cultures, three languages and a ton of bullshit as a Palestinian refugee constantly living one step away from asylum on the path to U.S. citizenship. His family - including his resilient and spiritual mother, sister and older brother - flee to Houston, Texas. Laughing the pain away, Mo learns to adapt to his new world through getting ahead in life comes with several setbacks.
In addition to Amer, the comedy stars Teresa Ruiz, Farah Bsieso, Omar Elba and Tobe Nwigwe.
Amer co-created the comedy with Ramy Youssef. They executive produce with Ravi Nandan, Hallie Sekoff, Harris Danow, Luvh Rakhe and director Solvan "Slick" Naim. A24 produces.
