Freevee (formerly IMDb TV) has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Troppo starring Thomas Jane and Nicole Chamoun.
All 8 episodes of the first season will be available on Friday, May 20.
An ex-cop falsely accused of committing a disturbing crime, Ted Conkaffey (Jane) has escaped to hide away in the tropics of Far North Queensland. As he tries to avoid discovery, he's drawn into investigating a wild murder and a missing person, alongside a complicated woman named Amanda Pharrell (Chamoun), with dark secrets of her own.
In addition to Jane and Chamoun, the cast includes David Lyons, Yerin Ha, Sun Park, Ling Cooper Tang, Kate Beahan, Cramer Cain, Peta Wilson, Angela Punch McGregor, Damien Garvey, Josh Helman and Radha Mitchell.
Yolanda Ramke developed the drama based on the novel Crimson Lake by Candice Fox. Ramke and Jane executive produce with Stuart Ford, Lourdes Diaz, Greg Quail, Lisa Duff, Simonne Overend, Mikael Borglund, David Ogilvy, Sally Riley, Andrew Gregory and Courtney Lauren Penn. EQ Media Group, Beyond Entertainment, AGC Television and Renegade Entertainment will produce.
