Ahead of its series debut on June 17, Amazon has today renewed its original drama series The Summer I Turned Pretty for a second season.
The drama stars Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Colin Ferguson and Tom Everett Scott.
Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka will return as showrunners for the second season. They executive produce with Karen Rosenfelt, Gabrielle Stanton, Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen and Paul Lee. Amazon Studios and wiip produce.
"When I decided to adapt Summer for television, I knew we'd need more than one season to honor the story we are telling," added Han. "To receive a second season pickup ahead of the premiere of Season One is beyond my wildest dreams.
