AMC has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original animated drama series Pantheon starring Daniel Dae Kim.
The drama's first season will debut Thursday, September 1 exclusively on AMC+, with new episodes being released weekly.
Based on a collection of short stories by Ken Liu, the series centers on a bullied teen who receives mysterious help from someone online: a stranger soon revealed to be her recently deceased father, David (Kim), whose consciousness has been uploaded to the Cloud following an experimental destructive brain scan. David is the first of a new kind of being - an "Uploaded Intelligence" or "UI" - but he will not be the last, as a global conspiracy unfolds that threatens to trigger a new kind of world war.
In addition to Kim, the voice cast features Katie Chang, Paul Dano, Rosemarie DeWitt, Aaron Eckhart, Taylor Schilling, Ron Livingston, Chris Diamantopoulos, Raza Jaffrey and William Hurt.
