Amazon's The Boys; AMC's Orphan Black: Echoes; NBC's Chicago Med; Netflix's Glamorous; Peacock's Bupkis; and Showtime's King Shaka





SHOWTIME's KING SHAKA
  • Charles Babalola, Aïssa Maïga, Thando Dlomo, Thapelo Mokoena and Warren Masemola will star in the upcoming drama created by Olu Odebunmi and Tolu Awosika. Bablola previously starred for two seasons in Amazon's The Outlaws. Maïga starred in the Netflix film The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. Dlomo stars in the upcoming feature film The Woman King. Mokoena recurred on Sky One's Bulletproof. Masemola starred in the African drama Black Psalms
  • Babalola will play Shaka, the outcast son of a Zulu Chief. He is a visionary who is prophesied to become a king like none before him.
  • Maïga will play Nandi, Shaka's devoted mother who will sacrifice everything to fulfill her son's destiny.
  • Dlomo will play Pampatha, a herder who finds her fate forever entwined with Shaka's.
  • Mokoena will play Gendeyana, a Qwabe leader who grows close to Shaka and Nandi.
  • Masemola will play Magazwa, who provides safe haven to Shaka and Nandi but at a cost.
AMAZON's THE BOYS
  • Jeffrey Dean Morgan has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fourth season. He currently stars in AMC's The Walking Dead, which concludes with its eleventh season later this year. He will then transition to the upcoming spinoff Dead City, also at AMC.
  • No details were immediately announced about the character he will be playing. 
PEACOCK's BUPKIS
  • Joe Pesci has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy starring Pete Davidson and Edie Falco. He has received three Academy Award nominations - winning in 1991 for his supporting performance in Goodfellas. He also starred in the Home Alone and Lethal Weapon film franchises.
  • He will play Pete's (Davidson) grandfather.
NETFLIX's GLAMOROUS
  • Ricardo Chavira has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Miss Benny and Kim Cattrall. He previously starred for eight seasons in ABC's Desperate Housewives and in the Netflix limited series Selena: The Series. He will next be seen in the upcoming third season of AppleTV+'s Truth Be Told
  • He will play Teddy, the handsome personal full-time driver for makeup mogul Madolyn Addison (Cattrall), as well as maybe her closest confidant. Professional but unpolished, he not wow'd by Madolyn's celebrity or beauty and enjoys calling her out and telling it to her like it is. Their friendly sparring and frank relationship betray a chemistry that could lead to more, if either of them was willing to admit it.
NBC's CHICAGO MED
  • Sasha Roiz and Lilah Richcreek Estrada are set for recurring roles on the drama's upcoming eighth season. Roiz previously starred for six seasons in NBC's Grimm and recurred on FOX's 9-1-1. Estrada guest starred on Netflix's Grace and Frankie, FXX's Dave and ABC's The Wonder Years.
  • Roiz will play Jack Egan, a multimillionaire renaissance man.
  • Estrada will play Nellie Cuevas, a psych fellow working alongside Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt).
AMC's ORPHAN BLACK: ECHOES
  • Amanda Fix and Avan Jogia have been cast as series regulars on the upcoming drama starring Krysten Ritter. Fix guest starred on The CW's Kung Fu and will be seen in Amazon's upcoming limited series Daisy Jones & the Six. Jogia previously starred in ABC Family's one-season drama Twisted, in Syfy's one-season drama Ghosts and in Starz's one-season comedy Now Apocalypse
  • Fix will play Jules, a salty teen trying to find herself. The newly adopted daughter of wealthy parents, she is tough as nails, a little reckless but brutally smart.
  • Jogia will play Jack, Lucy's (Ritter) boyfriend, a soft-spoken former army medic and single father. He's devoted his life to raising his daughter and discovers the woman he loves has an unimaginable secret.
