Freevee Sets Premiere Date for New Drama 'High School' Based on the Memoir by Tegan and Sara Quin

Freevee has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series High School based on the memoir by Grammy-nominated recording artists Tegan and Sara Quin.

The 8-episode first season will launch on Friday, October 14 with its first four episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday.

The drama is a story about finding your own identity - a journey made even more complicated when you have a twin whose own struggle and self-discovery so closely mimic your own. Told through a backdrop of '90s grunge and rave culture, the series weaves between parallel and discordant memories of twin sisters growing up down the hall from one another.

The drama stars Railey Gilliland, Seazynn Gilliland, Esther McGregor, Cobie Smulders and Kyle Bornheimer.

Recurring guest stars include Olivia Rouyre, Amanda Fix, Brianne Tju, Geena Meszaros, CJ Valleroy and Nate Corddry.

Clea DuVall and Laura Kittrell developed the drama. They executive produce with Tegan and Sara Quin, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Carina Sposato. Amazon Studios and Plan B Entertainment produce.
