Set in an alternate version of America, the drama will detail the story of Butch Cassidy (Page) and The Sundance Kid (Powell).
Cousins Kaz and Ryan Firgo are writing the drama. They will executive produce with Page, Powell, brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot and Scott Nemes. Amazon Studios and AGBO will produce.
The series takes inspiration from the 1969 feature film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid starring Paul Newman as Butch and Robert Redford as the Sundance Kid. It followed the duo as they were on the run from authorities following a string of train robberies. The film won four Academy Awards.
