SHOWTIME's KING SHAKA
- Charmaine Bingwa, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe, Tony Kgoroge, Sindi Dlatu and Bahle Hadebe have been cast on the upcoming drama starring Charles Babalola. Bingwa currently stars in Paramount+'s The Good Fight, which is now airing its sixth and final season. Obi-Melekwe starred on Broadway in the musical Tina - The Tina Turner Musical. Kgoroge starred in the film Invictus. Dlatu stars in the South African telenovela The River. Hadebe guest starred on Epix's Deep State.
- Bingwa will play Isisa, a fierce and formidable warrior whose loyalty is thrown into question by a fateful encounter.
- Obi-Melekwe will play the Locust Queen, the mysterious leader of a nomadic tribe of outcasts who uses her deep knowledge of the spiritual world to her advantage.
- Kgoroge will guest star as Chief Senzangakhona, the proud leader of the Zulu people who denies Shaka's (Babalola) birthright.
- Dlatu will guest star as Inyoni, a council leader and midwife.
- Hadebe will guest star as young Shaka.
FOX's 9-1-1: LONE STAR
- Neal McDonough, D.B. Woodside and Amanda Schull have booked recurring roles on the drama's upcoming fourth season. McDonough previously starred for two seasons in History's Project Blue Book and in the tenth season of FX's American Horror Story. Woodside starred for six seasons in FOX/Netflix's Lucifer. Schull starred for four seasons in Syfy's 12 Monkeys and two seasons in USA's Suits.
- McDonough will play Ty O'Brien, a hard-assed police sergeant who butts heads with Owen (Rob Lowe).
- Woodside will play Trevor, a wholesome, handsome and charismatic father and preacher. His new job has brought him and his daughter to Texas, but their new city greets them with a rare and dangerous storm.
- Schull will play Special Agent Rose Casey, a FBI agent investigating the members of an extremist group. She believes the group is planning a dangerous attack and needs Owen's help gathering evidence to strengthen the case.
HBO MAX's FULL CIRCLE
- Jim Gaffigan has joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Claire Danes, Zazie Beetz, Timothy Olyphant, Dennis Quaid, Jharrel Jerome and CCH Pounder. He has received six Grammy Award nominations for Best Comedy Album. He also co-created and starred in TV Land's The Jim Gaffigan Show, which ran for two seasons.
- He will play Manny Broward, an agent at USPIS and Harmony's (Beetz) immediate supervisor.
PARAMOUNT+'s LIONESS
- Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton and Hannah Love Lanier will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Zoe Saldaña and Laysla De Oliveira. Hébert previously recurred on Netflix's Unbelievable and Showtime's Ray Donovan. Wharton guest starred on CBS' NCIS and ABC's The Rookie. Lanier guest starred on HBO's A Black Lady Sketch Show.
- Hébert will play Randy, a tech specialist in charge of surveillance and gathering intelligence within the Strike Team of the CIA Special Activities Division operative.
- Wharton will play Tex, a member of Joe's (Saldaña) team that includes Two Cups (James Jordan), Tucker (LaMonica Garrett) and randy.
- Lanier will play Kate, Joe and Neil's (Dave Annable) daughter.
APPLE TV+'s DARK MATTER
- Alice Braga and Jimmi Simpson are set as series regulars on the upcoming drama starring Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly. Braga previously starred for five seasons in USA's Queen of the South and in the HBO limited series We Are Who We Are. Simpson starred in the first seasons of HBO's Westworld and AppleTV+'s Pachinko.
- Braga will play Amanda, a psychiatrist.
- Simpson will play Ryan, a brilliant neuroscientist and Jason's (Edgerton) friend.
HBO MAX's MINX
- Elizabeth Perkins has landed a recurring role on the comedy's upcoming second season. She previously starred for five seasons in Showtime's Weeds, in the HBO limited series Sharp Objects, two seasons in FOX's The Moodys and in the first season of AppleTV+'s Truth Be Told. She will next star in the upcoming second season of AppleTV+'s The Afterparty.
- She will play Constance, the wealthy widow of a Greek shipping magnate.
