Spectrum has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Panhandle starring Luke Kirby and Tiana Okoye.
The 8-episode first season will premiere on Monday, September 26 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Monday.
The drama pairs an eccentric, agoraphobic arm-chair detective Bell Prescott (Kirby) with a reluctant traffic cop Cammie Lorde (Okoye) in a series that showcases community, connection, and yes, only-in-Florida characters. When a dead body winds up on Prescott's doorstep, he and Cammie are forced to wrestle with personal demons, some shocking twists and a few Florida gators on their journey to heal themselves and their small Florida town.
In addition to Kirby and Okoye, the drama stars Lesley Ann Warren, Forrest Goodluck, Lorenza Izzo, Wallace Smith and Glenn Morshower.
Nick Stoller and Carla Kettner created the drama. They executive produce with Conor Welch and director Colin Bucksey. Sony Pictures Television produces.
