During today's presentation at the D23 Expo, Disney+ announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
The 16-episode second season will debut on Wednesday, January 4 with new episodes being released weekly.
The series follows the titular elite and experimental clones as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of the Bad Batch - a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army - each possess a singular exceptional skill which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. In the post-Clone War era, they will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose.
Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang lead the voice cast.
Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett executive produce. Carrie Beck serves as a co-executive producer, with Josh Rimes as a producer. LucasFilm Animation produces.
