AppleTV+'s Sunny; CBS' Young Sheldon; Disney+'s Ironheart; FOX's Animal Control; FX's Feud: Capote's Women; HBO's True Detective: Night Country; Hulu's Interior Chinatown; and Netflix's The Lincoln Lawyer.




HULU's INTERIOR CHINATOWN
  • Ronny Chieng and Chloe Bennet have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Jimmy O. Yang. Chieng has been a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Trevor Noah since 2015. Bennet previously starred for seven seasons in ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Chieng will play Fatty Choi, Willis' (Yang) best friend whose passions include video games and malted beverages.
  • Bennet will play Detective Lana Lee, a new lead making her debut appearance in the procedural cop show Black & White. She brings a new energy to the series' reliable but overworked premise.
FOX's ANIMAL CONTROL
  • Vella Lovell has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming comedy starring Joel McHale. She previously starred for four seasons in The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and two seasons in NBC's Mr. Mayor.
  • She will play Emily, the sweet-natured and endearingly awkward boss of the Animal Control precinct. She may be in over her head at the job, but she's beloved by her team.
HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY
  • Aka Niviâna, Isabella Star Lablanc and Joel D. Montgrand will co-star on the upcoming fourth installment of the anthology series. Niviâna will make her acting debut with the series. Lablanc starred in Spectrum's one-season drama Long Slow Exhale. Montgrand guest starred on Netflix's Altered Carbon and The CW's Legends of Tomorrow.
  • Niviâna will play Julia, Detective Navarro's (Kali Reis) sister, a woman battling demons both in her history and in her mind.
  • Lablanc will play Leah, Detective Danvers' (Jodie Foster) stepdaughter, a young woman fighting for her voice and her identity.
  • Montgrand will play Eddie Qavvik, Navarro's love interest. He's a local musher with connections that run deep in Ennis.
FX's FEUD: CAPOTE'S WOMEN
  • Ella Beatty is the latest addition to the upcoming second installment of the anthology series. She graduated from The Juilliard School earlier this year and will make her television acting debut on the series.
  • She will play Kerry O'Shea, the daughter of John O'Shea and Truman Capote's (Tom Hollander) longtime lover. Truman later changes Kerry's name to Kate. Estranged from both her parents, Kate is taken under Truman's wing as his protégée, who introduces her to both the exhilaration of fashion, modeling, art and literature, as well as the heartbreak of watching another parental figure fall into a decline.
NETFLIX's THE LINCOLN LAWYER
  • Lana Parrilla has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. She previously starred for seven seasons in ABC's Once Upon a Time and in the second season of Paramount+'s Why Women Kill.
  • She will play Lisa Trammell, a beloved chef and community advocate struggling to keep her restaurant afloat as a predatory real estate developer threatens the neighborhood around her.
CBS' YOUNG SHELDON
  • Rachel Bay Jones and Will Sasso have landed recurring roles on the comedy's sixth season. Jones won Tony, Grammy and Daytime Emmy Awards for her performance in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen. Sasso previously recurred on CBS' Mom.
  • Jones will play Audrey McCallister, Mandy's (Emily Osment) domineering mother. She seems sweet, but is actually a force to be reckoned with both in her daughter's life and in her marriage. She is unhappy with Mandy's life choices - especially the one to have a baby with Georgie (Montana Jordan) - and isn't afraid to say so.
  • Sasso will play Jim McCallister, Mandy's good-natured father who owns the local tire store. The news that Mandy is having Georgie's baby has put Jim in the crossfire between his pregnant daughter and stubborn wife.
APPLE TV+'s SUNNY
  • Joanna Sotomura, annie the clumsy, YOU, Judy Ongg and Jun Kunimura have joined the cast of the upcoming dramedy starring Rashida Jones and Hidetoshi Nishijima. Sotomura previously recurred on HBO's Barry. annie the clumsy is a singer-songwriter who produces her own YouTube show. YOU starred in the Japanese drama Come Come Everybody. Ongg is a Taiwanese-Japanese singer, actress and woodblock-print artist. Kunimura starred in the Netflix film Kate.
  • Sotomura will play Sunny, a bright, young, chipper and emotionally sophisticated robot with human emotions designed to please and do good.
  • annie the clumsy will play Mixxy, a new friend of Suzie (Jones) and an aspiring mixologist. She's audacious, feisty, something of a mess, both literally and emotionally.
  • YOU will play Hime, the strong and independent daughter of the nonagenarian leader of Kyoto's yakuza clan, who wants to be his successor.
  • Ongg will play Noriko Sakamoto, Masa's (Nishijima) mother, a wealthy housewife from an old Kyoto family. She loves her son more than anything, which is why she tries to tolerate her daughter-in-law.
  • Kunimura will play Yuki Tanaka, another visionary roboticist.
DISNEY+'s IRONHEART
  • Cree Summer will appear in the upcoming drama starring Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos and Alden Ehrenreich. The voice actress currently stars in Paramount+'s Rugrats and Nickelodeon's The Patrick Star Show. In live-action, she starred for five seasons in NBC's A Different World and recurred on FX's Better Things.
  • No details were immediately announced about the character she will be playing.
