The 8-episode first season will premiere on Thursday, January 5 with its first two episodes exclusively on AMC+. New episodes will then be able to stream weekly every Thursday.
Based on the series of novels by Anne Rice, an intuitive young neurosurgeon, Rowan (Daddario), discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
In addition to Daddario, the drama stars Jack Huston, Tongayi Chirisa, Annabeth Gish, Beth Grant, Erica Gimpel, Jen Richards and Harry Hamlin.
Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford developed the drama. They executive produce with Rice, Mark Johnson and Christopher Rice. AMC Studios and Gran Via Productions produce.
