AppleTV+ Gives Series Order to Drama 'Firebug' Starring Taron Egerton

Following the success earlier this year with the limited series Black Bird, AppleTV+ has today given a series order to the original drama series Firebug reuniting its creative team - including creator Dennis Lehane and star Taron Egerton. An episode count and premiere date window were not immediately announced.

Inspired by true events as detailed in the "Firebug" podcast hosted by Kary Antholis, a troubled detective and an enigmatic arson investigator (Egerton) pursue the trails of two serial arsonists.

Lehane also developed the drama. He will executive produce with Egerton, Antholis, Richard Plepler, Bradley Thomas, Dan Friedkin and Marc Smerling. Apple Studios, EDEN Productions, Imperative Entertainment, Crime Story Media and Truth Podcasting Corp. produce.
