The 6-episode second season will begin on Friday, April 7 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday until the season finale on May 5.
Having found true love in the town of Schmigaddon, the new season finds Josh and Melissa in Schmicago, the reimagined world of '60s and '70s musicals.
Returning stars include Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski and Aaron Tveit.
Tituss Burgess and Patrick Page join the cast for the second season.
Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio created the comedy. Paul serves as showrunner and wrote all of the original songs for the series. Paul and Daurio executive produce with Lorne Michaels and Andrew Singer. Universal Television and Broadway Video produce.
