AMC has today confirmed that there won't be a second season of its original anthology series Soulmates - despite previously renewing the series. The six-episode first and now only season was released in Fall 2020.
The anthology series was renewed for a second season months ahead of its series debut in October 2020. However, production never began on new episodes in the years since. Combined with low linear and streaming ratings, AMC quietly decided to drop the series last year.
Actors who appeared in the first season included Sarah Snook, David Costabile, Sonya Cassidy, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Darren Boyd, Dolly Wells, Karima McAdams, Laia Costa, Shamier Anderson, Georgina Campbell, Henry Goodman, Sofia Oxenham, Nathan Stewart Jarrett, Sandra Teles, Letty Thomas, Adam El Hagar, Charlie Heaton, Malin Akerman, Joe Anderson, Steven Mackintosh, Betsy Brandt, JJ Feild and Tom Goodman-Hill.
Will Bridges and Brett Goldstein created the series. They executive produced with Jolyon Symonds. AMC Studios and Fearless Minds produced.
