Anna Winger and Daniel Hendler created the series inspired by both the true story of Varian Fry and the novel The Flight Portfolio by Julie Orringer. They executive produce with Camille McCurry, Stéphanie Chuat, Véronique Reymond and Mia Meyer. Airlift Productions produces in association with Netflix.
