FOX has today renewed its original animated comedy series Krapopolis for a third season. The renewal comes months ahead of the comedy's series debut - which has officially been delayed to the upcoming 2023-24 broadcast season.
Set in mythical ancient Greece, the series tells the story of a dysfunctional family of humans, gods and monsters that try their hand at running the world's first cities - without trying to kill each other, that is.
The voice cast features Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy and Duncan Trussell.
Guest voices include Dove Cameron, Tara Strong, Alanna Ubach, Susan Sarandon, Will Forte, Michael Urie, Jane Lynch, Amber Stevens West, Yvette Nicole Brown and Dave Franco.
Dan Harmon created the series, with Jordan Young serving as showrunner. Fox Entertainment and Bento Box Entertainment produce.
The comedy was originally suppose to debut with a special preview in November 2022 - with the remainder of the first season arriving sometime in early 2023. Then, it was announced the broadcast network was planning on launching a new May animated comedy block featuring Krapopolis alongside the second season of HouseBroken. But now, the network has revealed that it won't be debuting any of its new animated comedies until the 2023-24 season.
Krapopolis was previously renewed for a second season back in October 2022. At the time, that was seen as a huge boost of confidence for the show's creative direction from the network executives. Today's third season renewal only extends that narrative before any second of the show has been released to the general public.
