Netflix Orders 8 Episodes of 'Man on Fire' Adaptation Developed by Kyle Killen

Netflix has today given a series order to the original drama series Man on Fire based on the series of novels by A.J. Quinnell - which were previously adapted in the 2004 feature film starring Denzel Washington. The first season will produce 8 episodes.

Adapting Man on Fire and The Perfect Kill, the first two books in Quinnell's five-book series, the drama will follow John Creasy, a broken ex-mercenary on a mission to avenge the death of his only friend, while protecting his fallen comrade's daughter from the forces that destroyed her family.

Kyle Killen (Halo, Awake) developed the drama. He will executive produce with Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Bill McGoldrick, Juan Alfonso and Scott Pennington. New Regency Productions, Chernin Entertainment and Chapter 11 will produce.
