ABC's ABBOTT ELEMENTARY
- Taraji P. Henson will appear as Janine's (Quinta Brunson) mother, Vanetta, in the April 12 episode of the comedy's second season. She previously starred for six seasons in FOX's Empire, receiving two Emmy Award nominations for her lead performance. She was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2008 for her supporting performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
- In the episode titled "Mom," Janine is planning a Memorial Day weekend solo trip. But that's derailed when her mother, Vanetta, shows up unannounced and asking for help. Elsewhere, Gregory (Tyler James Williams) looks to brush up on his people skills.
