Under its new corporate leadership, The CW has today made yet another international acquisition. The broadcast network will become the stateside home for the Canadian original drama series Sullivan's Crossing - which will bring Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill) and Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls) back to the network.
The drama will follow a star neurosurgeon (Morgan Kohan) who appears to have it all until her business partner is indicted for fraud and she finds herself charged with negligence. She leaves Boston to return to her home of Sullivan's Crossing, a remote campground by her estranged father Sully (Patterson). There, she meets a newcomer named Cal Jones (Murray).
Robyn Carr developed the drama based on her novel of the same name. She will executive produce with Roma Roth, Christopher E. Perry, Michela Di Mondo and Hilary Martin. Fremantle, Bell Media and Reel World Management will produce.
The 10-episode first season is currently airing on CTV in Canada. It is targeted for a Fall 2023 premiere on The CW.
"Sullivan's Crossing is an emotionally rich, authentic family drama that will immediately resonate with audiences thanks to an incredible cast and relatable themes of self-reflection, second chances and the power of community," said Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW.
