Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series Heartstopper.
All 8 episodes of the second season will be available on Thursday, August 3.
In the new season, Nick and Charlie navigate their new relationship; Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges; and Tao and Elle work out if they can ever be more than just friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love and friendship.
Returning cast include Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser, Cormac Hyde-Corrin, Stephen Fry and Olivia Colman.
New cast additions include Leila Khan, Jack Barton, Bradley Riches, Nima Taleghani, Thibault de Montalembert, Ash Self and Bel Priestley.
Alice Oseman developed the drama based on her webcomic and graphic novels. She executive produces with Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Hakan Kousetta, Jamie Laurenson and director Euros Lyn. See-Saw Films produces.
The drama has already been renewed for a third season.
