AppleTV+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series High Desert starring Patricia Arquette.
The 8-episode first season will launch on Wednesday, May 17 with its first three episodes. New episodes will be released weekly every Wednesday until the season finale on June 21.
The series follows Peggy (Arquette), an on-again-off-again addict who decides to make a new start after the death of her beloved mother, with whom she lived in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California, and makes a life-changing decision to become a private investigator.
In addition to Arquette, the comedy stars Matt Dillon, Christine Taylor, Weruche Opia, Brad Garrett, Bernadette Peters, Rupert Friend and Keir O'Donnell.
Nancy Fichman, Katie Ford and Jennifer Hoppe created the series. They executive produce with Arquette, Ben Stiller and director Jay Roach. Apple Studios, Red Hour Films, 3 Arts Entertainment and Delirious Media produce.
