ABC has given a series order to the original drama series High Potential starring Kaitlin Olson. The drama will join the broadcast network's upcoming 2023-24 schedule.
Based on the French series HIP (High Intellectual Potential), the drama follows Morgan (Olson), a single mom with three kids and an exceptional mind, who helps solve an unsolvable crime when she rearranges some evidence during her shift as a cleaner for the police department. When they discover she has a knack for putting things in order because of her high intellectual potential, she is brought on as a consultant to work with a by-the-book seasoned detective, and together they form an unusual and unstoppable team.
The drama also stars Daniel Sunjata, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, Matthew Lamb and Judy Reyes.
Drew Goddard wrote the pilot, which was directed by Alethea Jones. They executive produce with showrunner Rob Thomas, Sarah Esberg, Dan Etheridge, Pierre Laugier, Anthony Lancret and Jean Nainchrik. Olson serves as a producer. ABC Signature, Goddard Textiles, Spondoolie Productions, Itinéraire Productions and Septembre Productions produce.
