FOX has today renewed its original drama series 9-1-1: Lone Star for a fifth season. With this renewal, the series will serve as the longest-running drama on the broadcast network for its upcoming 2023-24 schedule.
The drama stars Rob Lowe, Gina Torres, Ronen Rubinstein, Sierra McClain, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva, Julian Works, Brianna Baker, Kelsey Yates and Skyler Yates.
Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear created the 9-1-1 spinoff. They executive produce with Lowe, Angela Bassett, Bradley Buecker, Alexis Martin Woodall, Rashad Raisani, John J. Gray, Kelly Souders, Brian Peterson and Bob Goodman. 20th Television, Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision produce.
The upcoming season will be the first where 9-1-1: Lone Star won't air alongside the mothership series. Instead, 9-1-1 is moving to ABC for its seventh season instead of continuing on FOX despite its longevity and relative success in linear ratings.
