AppleTV+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original limited series Lessons in Chemistry starring Brie Larson.
The 8-episode limited series will launch on Friday, October 13 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday until the season finale on November 24.
Set in the early 1950s, Elizabeth Zott's (Larson) dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives - and the men who are suddenly listening - a lot more than recipes.
In addition to Larson, the cast includes Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker and Thomas Mann.
Susannah Grant developed the series based on the novel by Bonnie Garmus. She executive produces with Larson, showrunner Lee Eisenberg, Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, Natalie Sandy and Louise Shore. Apple Studios, Aggregate Films and Piece of Work Entertainment produce.
