Amazon has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series The Summer I Turned Pretty.
The 8-episode second season will debut on Friday, July 14 with its first three episodes. New episodes will be released weekly every Friday until the season finale on August 18.
Belly used to count down the days until she could return to Cousins Beach, but with Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of Susannah's cancer, she's not sure summer will ever be the same. When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah's beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together - and to decide once and for all where her heart lies.
The drama stars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, Jackie Chung and Rachel Blanchard.
Recurring guest stars include Kyra Sedgwick, Elsie Fisher and David Iacono.
Jenny Han developed the drama based on her novel of the same name. She serves as showrunner alongside Sarah Kucserka. They executive produce with Karen Rosenfelt, Gabrielle Stanton, Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen and Paul Lee. Amazon Studios and wiip produce.
