- Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarette, Wolé Parks, Tayler Buck and Sofia Hasmik will not be returning as series regulars for the drama's upcoming fourth season. The drama was recently renewed for a 10-episode fourth season after the studio and network agreed on significant budget cuts. The seven actors may appear as guest stars in the upcoming season subject to their interest and availability.
- Walsh plays General Sam Lane. Chriqui plays Lana Lang Cushing. Valdez plays Kyle Cushing. Navarrette plays Sarah Cushing. Parks plays John Henry Irons. Buck plays Natalie Irons. Hasmik plays Chrissy Beppo. Walsh, Chriqui, Valdez, Navarrette and Parks have been series regulars since the series premiere. Buck and Hasmik were promoted to series regulars during the second season after recurring in the first.
- Returning as series regulars for Season 4 are Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent, and Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent. Moreover, Michael Cudlitz has been promoted to series regular after appearing as Lex Luthor as a guest star in the current third season.
