SHOWTIME's THE CHI
- Lynn Whitfield has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming sixth season. She won an Emmy Award in 1991 for her lead performance in the HBO film The Josephine Baker Story. She recently starred for five seasons in OWN's Greenleaf.
- She will play Alicia, an intimidating, old-money matriarch who will spare no expense to get what she wants.
NETFLIX's MONSTERS: THE LYLE AND ERIK MENENDEZ STORY
- Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez will play the lead roles in the upcoming second installment of the anthology series. Koch previously recurred on Starz's Power Book II: Ghost and appeared in the Peacock film They/Them. Alexander Chavez won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2022 for his performance in ABC's General Hospital.
- The second season will tell the story of real-life brothers, Lyle (Alexander Chavez) and Erik Menendez (Koch), who were convicted in 1996 for the murders of their parents, José and Mary Louise "Kitty" Menendez. Although the siblings eventually confessed to parricide, they have long sustained that the reason for their actions was due to physical, emotional and sexual abuse.
